Digital support: “All over I.T.”

Sherburn and Villages Community Trust have teamed up with Up For Yorkshire to provide free community digital support.

The sessions will be run by volunteers to help with simple tech tasks such as:

  • Using the internet
  • Setting up email
  • Online shopping
  • Installing apps such as the NHS apps for repeat prescriptions

Visitors can bring their own devices, or we will have tablets and laptops available, funded through grants secured by Up For Yorkshire.

The digital champions will be on hand alongside the community pop-up cafe at The Old Girls’ School Community Centre, where free hot drinks and soup are available.

Sessions will run usually once a week until end of March 2025 and will be publicised on the Sherburn and Villages Community Trust Facebook page and on The Old Girls’ School events calendar.

For questions about the Sherburn in Elmet sessions, please contact alison.marshall@siect.uk.

Additional computer support is also available at Sherburn & Villages Community Library, along with free computer use and free wifi.
