No previous trustee experience is needed, just commitment and a passion for community.

Bringing you the Community Library and The Old Girls’ School Community Centre as well as great activities like Wellbeing Walks and the Warm Welcome Winter Space, we are looking for new Trustees to help run our Charity, Sherburn and Villages Community Trust. ​

​We are particularly looking for experience in Human resources or Finance/Treasurer.​

  • HR
    • Advising on policies and procedures
    • Supporting employment practices and contracts
  • Finance / Treasurer
    • Preparing internal financial reports
    • Working with our accountants on year‑end accounts
    • Overseeing budgets and performance

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and actively participate in monthly board meetings.​
  • Provide strategic oversight and governance.​
  • Support fundraising and outreach efforts.​
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.​
  • Collaborate with fellow trustees and the executive team to drive the charity’s success.​
